- We consign by appointment ONLY for your first visit and ask that limit your clothing for review to 15 items. Appointment hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 – 2:00.
- On all visits, if we are unable to review with you all items brought in, we will call and inform you what items, if any, were not accepted. You will have three (3) days to pick these items back up or they will become the property of the Clothes Closet and donated.
- Clothing is taken during current season: Fall/Winter – August through December, Spring/Summer – February through July. For current season, feel free to call.
- We take only current styles which are two years old or less. Designer labels from high end department stores and boutiques are preferred.
- Clothes will be checked carefully for cleanliness as well as the condition of garment to include seams, missing buttons, moth holes etc. Please dry clean or launder clothing, if necessary, prior to your appointment. Garments must be in “ready to wear” condition. All items should be brought in on hangers. Shoes should be scuff-free, no worn soles or heels. Current styles only please. Handbags are accepted under the same guidelines. We also accept selected costume jewelry.
- We set the price to sell based on various factors such as quality/condition, original retail price, style and demand. You will receive 50% of the selling price on items priced $40 and above or 40% on items priced under $40. Your items will remain here for 60 days with one scheduled markdown: a 25% reduction after 30 days. There may be special store wide sales which may reduce the sale price.
