Thank you for giving us the opportunity to recycle and re-purpose your items. We appreciate your business and will do everything we can to accommodate you. So that we may operate efficiently, we ask that you comply with the following policies:
Consignor fee – There is a one-time fee of $3.00 to open an account.
Consignment – Consignor authorizes The Clothes Closet to sell all, or any portion of the goods consigned.
Condition – All must be in excellent condition and must be “ready to wear”. This includes being freshly dry cleaned or laundered, pressed and on hangers. The better they look, the better they sell. Items should be current styles, having been purchased in the last two years.
Pricing – The Clothes Closet determines the selling price according to brand, quality, demand and appearance.
Terms – The consignment period is 60 days. All items are subject to regularly scheduled markdowns. The consignor will receive 50% of the selling price on items sold $50.00 and above OR 40% on items sold under $50.00 All items not sold within the 60 day consignment period and not claimed by the consignor prior to the expiration date will, without notice become the property of The Clothes Closet and can be sold for profit and or donated. It is the responsibility of the consignor to monitor their expiration date.
Proceeds – Consignment checks will be generated and available on the 10th of each month for items sold the previous month. Checks will be void after 120 days. It is the responsibility of the consignor to pick up their checks. Risk of Loss – Consignor leaves all items at their own risk. The Clothes Closet assumes no liability for loss, destruction or damage of any kind to consigned items (including without limitation fire damage, water damage and theft).
Indemnification – If any items provided to The Clothe Closet for resale by the Consignor is found to be counterfeit or if The Clothes Closet incurs any liability as a result of the sale of such item, the consignor agrees to indemnify The Clothes Closet for any damages including any and all judgments, liens, fines, etc., including attorney’s fees.
